1. What never happens
- Tallyrow has no account, no sign-in and no server of ours. We do not collect an email or password for an account.
- Your challenges, rules, daily checks and progress photos stay on this phone. Uninstalling, or using Delete everything after a second confirmation, clears the local copy. We do not keep another copy in the cloud.
- Multi-device sync is not in this version. We do not collect an account or a sync payload for it.
- Tallyrow does not read health platforms, count calories, prescribe a diet, or track weight.
- No ads, and we do not sell your data.
2. Data we touch
2.1 Data on your device
Data: a local database of challenges, runs, rules, daily checks and settings, plus optional progress photos stored as files on this phone.
Used to: run the app. Sharing a compare image uses the system share sheet on your device.
Kept: until you export, run Delete everything, or uninstall. Export is free, always: a zip of JSON plus the original photos. Delete everything clears the local rows, photos and settings after a second confirmation.
Daily reminders are local notifications. They do not go through our server.
2.2 Purchase and entitlement
Data: the store receipt and transaction identifiers for a Pro subscription, plus an anonymous app-instance identifier.
Used to: unlock Pro, restore it on a new device, and keep it working offline from a local cache.
Who: Apple App Store or Google Play takes the payment; RevenueCat checks the receipt. We never see your card number.
Basis: performing the purchase contract.
Kept: by the store under its own terms; by RevenueCat while Tallyrow is on sale, so Restore purchase keeps working.
Restore purchase uses the store receipt. It does not create an account.
2.3 Usage analytics — none in 1.0
The 1.0 build ships no analytics key, so no usage event leaves the device. If a later release adds analytics, this page and the store data declarations change first, and Settings will carry a switch to turn the channel off. Even then, no event will carry a challenge name, a rule, a photo, a photo path, a name or free text.
2.4 Support email
Data: what you write to hello@tallyrow.app, and your address.
Used to: answer you.
Kept: 12 months after the thread closes.
2.5 The website
tallyrow.app uses PostHog for anonymous page analytics: page views, exits, selected buttons, page paths and campaign tags. Its browser identifier lasts 365 days. Events exclude IP address, device details and location, and session recording is off. Hosting and security providers deliver the site.
3. Processors
- Apple App Store and Google Play — payment and receipts (United States).
- RevenueCat — entitlement verification and restore purchase (United States), under its data processing terms.
- PostHog — website analytics (United States).
Nobody else receives data from Tallyrow. We do not sell data and we show no advertising.
4. Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK or another place with data-protection rights, you can ask us to show, correct, delete, restrict, export or stop using data about you. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority. Write to hello@tallyrow.app; we answer within one month. We hold no record of you beyond a support thread, so most requests end at the export and Delete everything controls in the app, or at the store for purchase records.
5. Children
Tallyrow is not directed at children, and it collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
6. Changes
If a change would affect what data we touch, we announce it in the app's update notes before it takes effect.
